Biomation
'Survival Tips for Deaf Teenagers'

This is a short film made with a group of Deaf teenagers for the award winning Biomation project.
In it, they express some of their frustrations about being Deaf, and attitudes they encounter in everyday life. The film takes the viewer through several situations where being
Deaf causes the main character a problem – but shows them a way
in which to deal with it
to their advantage.

This short promotional film was created for Qa Research as a way for them to promote their Mi:Mo software. The benefit of having the video is that the way the software works is difficult to explain - with the video they can now demonstrate how it works quickly and easily to prospective clients. |

Lollipop Charity
‘12 weeks, 2 wheels, 1 aim...’

Currently licensed by Teachers TV, under the name 'Riding High'. This was a year long project to create
a film for a deaf children's charity.
It follows 8 young people as they learn to ride motorbikes. In their own words, it shows the difficulties they encounter and successes they achieve and also highlights the particular challenges they face
due to their hearing loss.

I was commissioned by QA Research to make a short evaluation film to illustrate findings from their evaluation of 'Work Related Learning' projects run by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. For this, I filmed at three schools, interviewing students about the courses they were on, and also
while they did practical elements
of the courses. |

CCE Storycatch Project

This film was developed for the 'Arts with the Early Years Storycatch Project' with Creativity Culture and Education, supported by Arts Council England. It is one of 5 films I made for the project on behalf of City Of York Council, which capture arts activities run for 0 - 5 year olds in York and North Yorkshire. This film shows the 'Very Young Friends of West Bank Park' taking part in a soap making activity, as well as singing and story-telling, in the magical setting of a local park. |

University of Oslo
'Comet Assay'

I filmed, edited and authored a training DVD and CD resource detailing how to carry out the Comet Assay procedure for the Department of Nutrition at the University of Oslo. It was shot in Norway, carefully covering the eight different stages
in a way that is easy to follow for training purposes. I authored a DVD with supporting materials on a CD. |

Beverley Puppet Festival

This is a short film to illustrate the programme and impact of the Beverley Puppet Festival. It features interviews with the festival organiser and puppeteers, as well as footage of puppetry shows and a parade by young puppeteers and their exciting creations through the town centre. The film will be used by the festival for publicity and fundraising purposes.

the National Centre for Early Music were running for AimHigher lead by Trombonist and educationalist Dennis Rollins.
It shows a group of students improvising to a rhythm and
then performing their own piece alongside Dennis Rollins. |
