DESIGN: I have been working as a graphic designer for over 8 years. I work from brief right through to producing final artwork for print.

I think it's important to get the job right straight from the brief, and have an understanding what the design is for - who it's aimed at and what the client wants it to achieve.

I try to place importance on design being functional as well as visually appealing - there should be a reason for designs to look good. |

| I try and involve the client in the design process and allow for several stages of proofing and changes. I tend to send PDFs for this, but can also send out printed proofs. |

ILLUSTRATION: I try to create illustrations which are different. and which connect with the viewer. They are ideal for educational materials, books, comics or websites.

| My illustrations are cartoony and fun, and aimed at appealing to kids and mainly young people. |

There are several here which I think would work well as an illustrated book, but I'm just waiting to find the story...
